Pekin Marigold Festival Announces 2025 Theme: “Marigold Pep Rally: Team Spirit”

The Pekin Area Chamber of Commerce Pekin Marigold Festival Committee is proud to announce the official theme of the 2025 Pekin Marigold Festival: “Marigold Pep Rally: Team Spirit!”

Get ready to break out your school colors, megaphones, and pom-poms—this year’s festival will be a full celebration of unity, pride, and the unbeatable energy of team spirit. From community organizations to local businesses and schools, everyone is invited to join the fun and show off what “team” means to them.

“This year’s theme is all about celebrating what brings us together,” said Val Springborn, 2025 Festival Chairperson. “Just like a pep rally ignites school pride, we want the Marigold Festival to ignite community spirit. Whether you’re a marching band, a local sports team, or a neighborhood group, we can’t wait to see how you bring the theme to life!”

The 2025 Marigold Festival will take place from September 3-7, 2025, featuring a full lineup of beloved traditions and exciting new events, including the parade, entertainment at Mineral Springs Park, carnival rides, craft vendors, food vendors, and much more—all decked out in team colors and spirited décor.

Parade participants, vendors, and community groups are encouraged to incorporate the “Team Spirit” theme in creative and fun ways. Registration details and participation forms will be available soon at www.pekinmarigoldfestival.com or Pekin Marigold Festival on Facebook, Instagram, and TikTok.

About the Pekin Marigold Festival
Established in 1973, the Pekin Marigold Festival is a time-honored tradition that celebrates the spirit, talent, and unity of the Pekin community. Held annually in September, the festival honors Pekin’s most famous son, U.S. Senator Everett Dirksen, and his love of marigolds.
