Smart Start Small Business Conference

Local small business owners and aspiring entrepreneurs are invited to attend the 2nd Annual SmartStart Small Business Conference, a one-day event designed to help business owners focus on growth, strategy, and connection. This year’s conference will take place on June 9th at the Pekin Community High School.
The conference organized by the Pekin Area Chamber of Commerce and SmartStart Business Development promises a full day of expert-led sessions, practical workshops, and valuable networking opportunities tailored specifically for small business owners. Whether you're looking to sharpen your marketing skills, learn how to set your prices, or simply get clear on your next step—this event is designed to equip you with real tools you can use immediately.
“You’ll walk away with new ideas, new connections, and a fresh perspective on how to grow your business,” says Marci Goodwin co-founder of SmartStart Business Development. “This isn’t just a day of sitting and listening—it’s a day to engage, plan, and take action.”
From established entrepreneurs to those still in the idea stage, the SmartStart Small Business Conference is open to all.
Early bird discount tickets ($25) are available until May 9. Ticket price includes coffee, donuts, lunch, and beverages. Space is limited, so early registration is encouraged.
