Welcome Home Rev. Bill Friederich

On June 8, 2025, Pentecost Sunday, St. Paul United Church of Christ at 101 N. 8th, Pekin, will joyfully welcome home Rev. Bill Friederich to lead the 9:30am Sunday worship service at the church where he was both baptized and confirmed. Bill is the son of St. Paul Saints Phil and Marylou Friederich, brother of Connie Friederich Moser, and uncle of Joanna Moser Mingus.

Currently, Rev. Bill holds the position of Care Pastor at Longboat Island Chapel in Longboat Key, FL.

Reverend Bill Friederich has been an ordained minister since 1977, graduating with a Master's Degree in Theology and Christian History from Wheaton Graduate School in Wheaton, Illinois. He also completed a Master of Divinity degree from Bangor Theological Seminary in Bangor, Maine.

Rev. Bill served as Assistant Chaplain at a U S Army stockade in Germany, and a Missionary in Germany and Italy. He was a Campus Chaplain at the University of Maine, as well as Director of Admissions for Bangor Seminary. While in Maine he served UCC churches in Northeast Harbor, Seal Harbor, and Castine before moving to Florida. His most recent pastorate was at Longboat Island Chapel where he served as Senior Pastor for five years. He and his wife Bah reside in Bradenton, enjoying sun and sand. Both are accomplished musicians, enjoy good food, and delight in visits with their granddaughter!

Plan on attending at 9:30 am Sunday worship or better yet, bring a friend. Our Communion Table is open to all. Then stay for fellowship at the best Coffee Hour around. God is Still on the Move at St. Paul.
