The Pekin Lions Club was chartered in October 1940; thus, we are celebrating our 85th anniversary. Our celebration will be held on October 18th from 1pm–5pm at the Eagle’s Lodge on Derby Street. To get the registration form for the event, go to Facebook, the Pekin Lions Club page. You will find a Flyer with the form needed to make reservations. Guests are welcome to attend, just be sure to make a reservation.

The Club is also preparing to start its annual Christmas Basket project. Donations will be appreciated. Grocery prices are very high, and many people are out of work.

So, dig into your deep pockets past the mothballs and give as much as you can. In the February 2026 Pekin Hometown Voice will be a list of all donors and donations.

On November 18, 2025, the club is hosting a Soup Sampler Supper. The event will be at our usual place of Trinity Lutheran Church from 5-6:30 pm. For a donation to the Christmas Basket Fund, you can sample all the different soups available. We usually have 5-7 different ones.
