The Kiwanis Club of Pekin will award grants to local organizations creating positive impact in the lives of children in Pekin and beyond on Tuesday, December 2 during our lunch meeting at the Miller Center of Pekin. You may be wondering where Kiwanis gets the funding to be able to help our local kids. 

We have three big fundraising opportunities every year. During the Marigold Festival and other local events, we sell kettle corn. This delicious treat brings in a great deal of generosity and we look forward to joining the best weekend in Pekin every year. 

Another way we raise dollars to impact local children’s lives is through our November cheese sales. Kiwanis has been selling this delicious cheese for many years and it is a true crowd pleaser for all your holiday gatherings. 

Finally, we hold our Stand Up for Kiwanis event every year to showcase local comedians. This event is a sold-out show full of laughs and liveliness. The upcoming Stand Up for Kiwanis event will be on February 21, 2026.
