The Y Reserves, the auxiliary organization for the YWCA Pekin, held another successful fundraiser on February 14. This annual “Hearts are Trump” card party/fundraiser set a record for attendance and money raised for the YWCA Pekin. Eighty-eight attendees played games, enjoyed delicious desserts and snacks, and bid on over 110 items on the silent auction tables. The Y Reserves is grateful to the 30 businesses and merchants plus the 28 individual members and friends who donated so many beautiful auctionable items. Thanks also go out to the many Y Reserves members and friends who sold tickets, made food, gave extra money, and helped during the party. The total income raised for the YWCA Pekin is over $6,700. All money raised at this event will go to support programs and services of the YWCA Pekin.
