The countdown is on for the best weekend in Pekin! This year’s Pekin Marigold Festival is upon us and sure to bring delight for all ages. The Kiwanis Club of Pekin will be popping away with the help of our Pekin Community High School Key Club. The sweet, salty aroma will waft through the air and invite you to invest in the lives of kids in Pekin. The dollars raised during the Marigold Festival each year are invested through grants for community projects benefitting kids. Through our fundraising efforts this past year, we were able to provide grants for the new Performing Arts Venue at the Mineral Springs Park, as well as a match for people investing in the arts through an amazing outdoor space designed to bring people together. We also invested in playgrounds, support for foster families, new equipment for camps, resources for our local YWCA, and so much more.
