September is Library Card Sign-Up Month, a golden opportunity for our community members of all ages to unlock a world of resources, services, and programs at the Pekin Public Library. A library card is not just a card, it’s a key to a wealth of knowledge, entertainment, and savings!

As an incentive to those who have a Pekin Public Library card, we are partnering with local businesses to show your card and save during the month of September!  This year’s participating businesses and discounts are:

  • CityLink – Ride the bus for free with your library card!
  • Busy Corner Restaurant – 15% off
  • Ernie’s Family Restaurant – 10% off
  • Magic Dragon Mini-Golf – $1 off a game of Mini-Golf
  • Pekin Paintball Park – 100 extra rounds of paint with a basic rental
  • Coffee Connection – Free Cookie

In addition, anyone who signs up for a library card during the month of September will receive a $2.00 off coupon for the Friends of the Library Book Sale Room.

Take advantage of the diverse offerings at the Pekin Public Library, a vibrant community center in the heart of Pekin. Library cards are free to most addresses in Pekin and South Pekin, and all children ages birth-18, who live in the Pekin area are eligible for a free library card.  To get a library card, visit the Pekin Public Library (with a valid ID) or go to pekinpubliclibrary.org/get-a-card.
