Tazewell County Health Department to Host Flu & Covid Vaccine Clinics On October 5 & 12

Tazewell County Health Department (TCHD) is offering two vaccine clinics to provide both the Flu and COVID vaccines this fall. Adults and children six months of age or older are encouraged to join us on Saturday, October 5 or Saturday, October 12 from 8am-12pm. at TCHD’s main campus at 21306 IL Rt 9 in Tremont. 

These are both drop-in events and no appointments are required. Both commercial and state insurance are accepted, and a cash-pay option is also available. Please bring your insurance information. Vaccines will also be available for those with no insurance coverage. 

If you cannot make it to either vaccine clinic, vaccine appointments are also available. You can go online to tinyurl.com/TCHDOnlineScheduling or call 309-929-0294 to schedule an appointment. Appointments for Flu are available beginning October 1 while COVID appointments are available now. 

Public health officials recommend everyone six months of age and older get the seasonal flu vaccine. It is the first and most important thing you can do to protect against flu. The high-dose vaccine is available for persons ages 65 and older. More information on the types of flu vaccines can be found on the CDC website.
