The next meeting of the Pekin Woman's Club will be Friday, September 12, beginning at noon. The meeting will be held in Whitfield Hall of the Pekin First United Methodist Church, 1315 Court Street, Pekin.

The program for the day will be presented by Katrina Sotomayor and is titled "Fashioning the New Woman." It will feature a slide presentation from the DAR Museum.

A business meeting and refreshments will follow the program.

Pekin Woman's Club was established in 1893 and is the oldest club in the community. It is a civic organization that supports several non-profits in Pekin as well as awarding a scholarship each year to a PCHS senior girl.
