A Word from Mayor Mary – A Year of Progress, Resilience, and Community

As 2025 closes, I want to take a moment to reflect on what we have accomplished together and to thank each of you for the role you play in making our community such a special place to call home.

This past year has brought its share of challenges, but it has also shown the strength, kindness, and resilience that define our town. Whether it was neighbors supporting one another, local businesses continuing to innovate and grow, or volunteers stepping up when help was needed most, you reminded us of all what it truly means to be a community.

Together, we made meaningful progress. We invested in projects that improve the quality of life for our residents, strengthened essential services, supported public safety, and continued to build an environment where families, seniors, and young people can thrive. We also worked to ensure that voices were heard and that decisions were guided by transparency, collaboration, and care for our shared future.

I am deeply grateful to our municipal staff, first responders, volunteers, community organizations, and local leaders who dedicate themselves daily to serving others. Your commitment does not go unnoticed, and our community is stronger because of you.

As we look ahead to the new year, I am filled with optimism. While there is always more work to do, I am confident that by continuing to work together—with respect, creativity, and compassion—we can build on our successes and meet future challenges head-on.

On behalf of City Council and our entire municipal team, we hope you and your loved ones had a safe, healthy, and joyful holiday season. May the new year bring hope, opportunity, and continued unity for our community.

Thank you for your trust, your engagement, and your pride in our town. It is an honor to serve as your Mayor.
