Pekin Area Students Attend Great Lakes Music Festival

Students from Faith Baptist Christian School in Pekin recently attended the Great Lakes Music Festival at Maranatha Baptist University in Wisconsin. The event brought together student musicians from across the region for two days of rehearsal and performance.

Participants had the opportunity to refine their musical skills, perform challenging selections, and experience a collegiate music setting. Every student participated in a large choir as well as tracks in the symphonic band and choral music. Led by Fine Arts Director, Mr. Dylan Keener, the trip reflects the school’s continued emphasis on fine arts education and student development.

Students who attended include: Juniors: Helena Parrish and Josh Blanchard. Sophomores: Karissa Wilcoxen, Charlette Swearingian, Grayson Sly, Noelliah King, and Timothy Herring. Freshmen: Piper Whitehall, Jack Lyons, Kathleen Hegener, and Alex Berger.
