On May 7th, the YWCA of Pekin hosted their 44th Annual Women’s Recognition Day! For over four decades this event has been celebrating the AMAZING women and young women in the Tazewell County area. Please help us congratulate each of this year’s recipients.

Arts Award – Aleta Hoff
Business Award – Jackie Hale
Community Service Award – Judy Davis
Outstanding Employee Award – Susan Jones
Professions Award – Monica Jacobs
Sports Award – Amanda Waltemyer
Mission Award – Nancy Kerley

Each year we also celebrate the young women of this community. Area schools each choose one outstanding female to honor and celebrate at this event. The following students were recognized at this year’s event.

8th Grade Students:

Sophia Rosenbohm – Rankin School
Makinley Harms – South Pekin Grade School
