Welcome Back! The 2026–2027 School Year Is Almost Here
Summer always seems to fly by, and before we know it, another exciting school year is upon us! We are looking forward to welcoming our students, staff, and families back to Pekin Public School District 108 for the 2026–2027 school year.
Online registration opens on Thursday, July 30, making it easy for families to register from the comfort of home. If you would rather register in person or need assistance, our staff will be available at Wilson School (900 Koch Street) on Tuesday, August 4, from 2:00 to 6:00 p.m. Registration assistance will also be available on Wednesday, August 5, at the Pekin Housing Authority (1901 Broadway Street).
On the evening of Tuesday, August 18, our schools will host Meet the Teacher events, giving students and families an opportunity to visit their school, meet their teachers, and get excited for the year ahead. Please contact your child’s school for specific event details.
The first day of student attendance is Wednesday, August 19. School hours are:
- Grades K–3: 8:50 a.m. – 3:20 p.m.
- Grades 4–6: 8:10 a.m. – 2:40 p.m.
- Grades 7–8: 8:00 a.m. – 2:45 p.m.
- PFEC AM: 8:40 a.m. – 11:25 a.m.
- PFEC PM: 12:40 p.m. – 3:25 p.m.
The beginning of a new school year is always filled with excitement, new opportunities, and fresh starts. We encourage families to complete registration early and reach out to their school if they have any questions.
