CENTRAL ILLINOIS COUNTY CLERKS & RECORDER OF DEEDS RELEASE AMERICA 250 VIDEO

Sixteen Central Illinois County Clerks & Recorder of Deeds released a joint America 250 Video featuring a reading of the Declaration of Independence against a backdrop of their various County Courthouses and historical community landmarks. Organized by Tazewell County Clerk & Recorder of Deeds John C. Ackerman, the video draws from the historical work of 2nd Continental Congress Clerk Timothy Matlack, who in his position was responsible for taking the notes and drafts of the Continental Congress and writing the finalized text of the Declaration of Independence we all view and cherish today.
